Weeds of Crops of Crops and Gardens in Southern Africa by Kees Grabandt. A CIBA-GEIGY Production, South Africa, 1985.
Condition: Used – near fine. The hardcover is in a near fine condition but for a small scuff mark. The spine and binding are in good condition, the pages are bright and clean.
Extracts: Since man started practicing crop production weeds have always been a problem, and this problem is ever increasing in importance as population pressure demands more from limited natural resources. Also, weeds are a subtle enemy of the farmer because the harm they can do to the crops is not as conspicuous as is the case with diseases and pests. Despite great progress in control measures over the years, weeds remain a bigger menace than either pests or diseases.
