Condition: Used – excellent. The hardcover has very minimal scuffs or marks for its age. The spine & binding are in very good shape. The pages are bright and clean, with very little foxing whatsoever.
Extracts: England is a country with a moderate rainfall, with extremes neither hot nor cold; the countryside is undulating and pleasing without grand scenery or rugged mountains; the soil is rather light than rich. So it comes about that the English home is part of an agreeable pattern of house and garden. Within the house the Englishman eats and sleeps and his children are born. In the limpid air of the garden the children can roll or play and wax lustily: in the cool of the evening mother and father rest amidst ambient sweetness.
